Meet Cam - Butchery Manager at Kai Co
Meet Cam
Cam and I have worked together since 2018, and he’s one of those apprentices where you teach him something… then turn around and realise he’s doing it better than you.
He started in the industry as a clean-up boy at 15, worked his way through his apprenticeship, and over the last few years has helped manage one of the busiest retail butcheries in the country. He knows how to get stuck in, lead from the front, and handle the workload when it’s on.
Cam’s favourite part of butchery is building relationships with suppliers and customers, hunting for good deals, and smashing out a big day’s work.
Outside of work he:
• Hangs out with his wife Sam
• Owns a lot of cats (a suspicious amount)
• Sporadically goes to the gym
• Plays drums
• Games
Fun facts:
• He’s lived in the area most of his life
• He was once hit by a bus (long story, he’s fine)
• He is probably the fastest chicken boner in the country
(and yes challenge accepted)
Most importantly, Cam’s one of my best mates and someone I trust completely to help lead Kai Co the right way.
We’re stoked to have him on board.
